Brad,
The snake in the top two photos is actually from a different locality in West Texas that is a fair distance from any others that I have (it was found it transit on the way back to Wichita Falls by a friend of mine). It was found less than a mile Southwest of the Pecos River in Pecos County. The bottom pic is from the same locality as your stock. I love all of the Trans-Pecos snakes. I used to breed Val Verde snakes, but they weren't as good of rodent feeders as these are. I really think that several people have had bad experiences with Mexican hognose because there are so many South Texas animals out there. I used to breed those as well and had horrible luck with them. BTW, your Alpine alterna laid yet?
Bryan
