Don't give up hope, I bred this same pair of Het Clowns last year and the female gave me 6 perfect eggs, I hatched out all normal looking snakes. And yes the doubt sets in, are they really what they are supossed to be? It's a long time between a females first clutch and her second, especially when your wondering the whole time if your Hets are actually Hets, or which one might not be a Het. So I kept myself from calling the breeders, and I wanted to call! Anyways I faithfully put the two together again this year, she gave me 6 more good eggs with 1 slug. It didn't seem like a good clutch to prove out a pair of Hets for the second time with the slug being in the clutch. Well I guess it didn't matter!!! These just hatched out yesterday and last night. I know they are just Clowns, I can't help it though, this is huge for me, just getting that doubt put away is almost as nice as these babies. I've been wanting Clowns for the longest time, and right now I couldn't be more pleased. They are close to being the super reduced Clowns. Plus they are a combination of VPI line and BHB line, nice out crossed Clowns! I'm glad that I kept the 3 females from last years clutch, their status just got bumped up from "I don't even know if they are possible Hets" to 67% probable Hets.

It feels good to have my track record for proving out other peoples Hets back up to 100 percent. So don't give up hope if you missed getting any visible babies. Breed them again and see what happens on the next clutch.

I have to say thanks to BHB for the Het Clown female from his reduced line, now if I could just get the second Het Clown female to stop reabsorbing her follicles!!

Sorry about the bad pics, just couldn't seem to get any good ones today.
