Like your breeder, I agree, you can have two or more hogs in the same cage. Feeding them separately will help but I would also recommend that you rinse them off before putting them back together. This will remove any scent from their body and head area. I do keep clutches together for the first few weeks. I feed separate and rinse them off before putting them back into the community box. I have first hand experience with what can happen. Two hogs, same age, same size, and I got distracted during feeding. A male ate a female. I no longer answer the phone or a knock at the door when I'm feeding. Hatchlings that are fed small pinks in a deli cup will get some blood and body fluid on them. Small pinks have very thin skin and tend to pop and make a bit of a mess. If you leave this on a hatchling it may end up being a meal. | ||
