there was a guy on the boa classifieds selling a boa with the same birth defect and same ringer pieblad pattern right at the point of the crease or defect. Although the kink wasn't as dramatic as yours, it appeared to be the same defect with the only real difference being that boas are born alive. Best of luck to you. I'd lean towards it being a BD.
