Rob, an astute observation! He is overweight and I've got him on a "diet"! He's been like this since I got him a few mos. back. Only 1 small rat every 10 days though he's refused food the last two times I've tried to feed him. I'm thinking its a direct correlation to breeding?? Also, if you look closely you'll see a bulge right above his vent....I'm concerned about it. Not sure if his fasting is symptomatic of this development or because females have been in and out of his cage for the last month.

The "bulge" didn't manifest itself until females were introduced.
I've also witnessed him draping his tail up high and "vibrating" it so rapidly its a blur....while the female was close by..he's never done this before either. Pheremone "wafting"??
Thoughts?

Bill
