RE: Snake found in Florida

That is a harmless watersnake (Nerodia sp.) but I can't be sure off the top of my head which one it is. It looks like either a Salt-marsh Snake (N. clarkii) or a Banded Watersnake (N. fasciata).

It's mouth is a mess. Clearly it is trying to recover from a serious injury which led to an infection.
