They use the warm areas briefly to digest etc then go back to cool to conserve energy. Thats why he is out IMMEDIATELY after dark. He is scared of the bright lights so when they go off he goes over to use the residual heat. You can keep your light, it won't burn your snake, but if you add an under tank heater for at night, he will be better off. | ||
