As others on here can attest and have shown, snakes can be addictive, and eventually with some folks, 2 snakes becomes 10 and so forth. Its always been that way with my orchids which I began growing at 14 and while I had a good collection a while back, I had to sell it due to not being settled. Well having bought my first place, I could have some fun. Nice thing is that the orchids and snakes both like low winter temps for better blooming and hibernation. The 7 tarantulas I have and my Ball Pythons and Hogg Island Boa, all have heating pads along with the younger natives that I don't want to hibernate yet. Hope you all enjoy the pics, this is the best growing set up I have done yet since my Cattleyas are blooming well. AS you can see, its not all orchids but they make up about 130 of the plants. Of the orchids I grow Cattleyas- with a focus on uni foliate species, Paphiopedilums- I do best with the multi floral, Phalaenopsis, Oncidiums, and odds and ends. The room looks out into my porch garden where I grow Bonsai, Roses, and other stuff- of which the Rembrandt tulips are rockin' at the moment. | ||
