I posted this in the Pine and Bull snake forum as well but thought Id post it here because I check out these forums the most on here, and hope you all don't mind since we all like to show off. As others on here can attest and have shown, snakes can be addictive, and eventually with some folks, 2 snakes becomes 10 and so forth. Its always been that way with my orchids which I began growing at 14 and while I had a good collection a while back, I had to sell it due to not being settled. Well having bought my first place, I could have some fun. Nice thing is that the orchids and snakes both like low winter temps for better blooming and hibernation. The 7 tarantulas I have and my Ball Pythons and Hogg Island Boa, all have heating pads along with the younger natives that I don't want to hibernate yet. Hope you all enjoy the pics, this is the best growing set up I have done yet since my Cattleyas are blooming well. AS you can see, its not all orchids but they make up about 130 of the plants. Of the orchids I grow Cattleyas- with a focus on uni foliate species, Paphiopedilums- I do best with the multi floral, Phalaenopsis, Oncidiums, and odds and ends. The room looks out into my porch garden where I grow Bonsai, Roses, and other stuff- of which the Rembrandt tulips are rockin' at the moment.
