Thanks for the kind words. The lights I use that hang from the celling are 32watt circular compact florecent bulbs that put out 120 watts of light, and I get these at Home Depot, the ones hanging underneath the table are 24 watts and put out 75 watts of light which work fine for the Phalaenopsis, Gasteria succulents and African violets. What you all are not seeing is that the wall with the door way in it, is where my office is so to speak, with my desk, computer and printer and personal ephemera. This room is a real picker upper during the dreary winters when its gray outside, and I can just walk in to the fans blowing, humidifier going, orchids blooming and good lighting and healthy air. It is a good room to just breath in and putter with the orchids and snakes and spiders(and the dwarf cave roaches that feed them). My friends like comming in there, and the ones that dont, can just avoid it with the door closed- though the orchids are a draw. It has to have the best air in my condo, and I think a GREAT place for my snakes to live. The orchids are sitting on sheets of Egg Creating, propped (with old plastic pots) up over plastic translucent rectangular clothing storage boxes with the tops taken off. Since I use cypress mulch in my cages, I have a lined garbage can against the wall to toss feces etc... in and a step ladder to get to the 40 breeder tanks on the top level to clean up after my Bull snakes that live in them. Kings are a bit cleaner for sure, and they live in 20 long tanks. The only living things that can be found elsewhere in my condo are my 2 freshwater tropical planted fish tanks that live in the living room, and look like green boxes with lots of small brightly colored and silvery fish swimming back and forth.
