Does anyone know of any people who are working for PIJAC? I am currently an environmental law student in NY (and lifelong herp collector/breeder/fanatic) and would really like to lend a helping hand with any volunteer help or anything that may be needed for the organization.

Judging from past decisions congress has made, this ban is NOT far fetched. i know if kingsnakes are your specialty you may be somewhat insulated...but technically this may very well include Mexican species as well, and could also lay the groundwork for future laws banning foreign state reptile ownership like (cant own a splendida if live in NY) if the bans invasive species section receives much deference since these organizations are considering everything to be invasive (even though everyone knows a splendida is not going to make it long in NY). I don't mean to be an alarmist, and I am sorry if i offended any supporting parties of the bill.

Anyway, if anyone has any connections, or if anyone reading this is connected with PIJACs initiative of destroying this ban, and would like whatever help a diligent, driven law student may be able to offer PLEASE CONTACT ME!

Thanks and good luck,

Jon

ps IAM NOT LAWYER, AND I CAN NOT AND WILL NOT NOR AM I ABLE TO GIVE LEGAL ADVICE, Iam a student looking to lend a hand.
