tail tip ques

My little male kingsnake has what I think is a bit of his tail tip about to come off from I'm guessing a bad shed of yore (see pic as best I could get). It seems to be actual tail, not a piece of shed.

My question is (to anyone who's had a similiar situation): If this tip come off, will he end up with a stubby tail, or is this case so slight it won't be noticeable?
