Hi Byron

Sweet Axanthic. A pair of my animals also produced a similarly colored axanthic this year. The parents were quadruple hets for hypo stillwater, specked, axathic, and white-sided. This particular hatchling does look very similar to the New England strain of Axanthic Brooks in coloration like you mentioned. Although it does look a little different since it has very bold markings and blotches and not the gradient shades of black of your hatchling. I'm waiting for it to shed so I can also take and share some pics and hear everyone's opinion. I'm sure the stillwater hypo genes have something to do with its strong contrast in color and pattern. I love this stuff!
