Posted by: boxienuts at Thu Sep 17 07:42:53 2009 [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by boxienuts ] This is my first BP clutch hatched on 9-15-09. The dame was the light colored, reduced pattern female normal produced by Bob Futo and the sire was the NERD lemon pastel produced by Marc Bailey. Ended up with 1.2 normals and 0.3 pastels. Pretty happy with the sexes, I double checked them, and while these are my first BPs to pop I have popped hundreds of corns and garters and not much difference really other than size, but I will pop them again once or twice in the next couple weeks to be certain. It was fun watching these little guys hatch and yes I did cut them at day 56, couldn't stand to wait any longer, lol, and they began hatching the next day, they all weighed around 75 grams, I don't know is that a good average birth weight? I think the pastel in the upper right is very clean looking, it will be interesting to see what they look like after their first shed. [ Hide Replies ]
