Move the cage away from the window. Drafts will lower temps. What are your temps? Also in a high traffic area with footsteps, the added vibrations are likely causing stress. Another reason to move the cage somewhere quiet and away from the windows.

If you are taking sticks/ logs from outdoors without sterlizing, reptalian paracites are a greater risk. Ticks, mites. Examine the snake to see if there are ticks. Mites are smaller and trickier to spot. They look like black "flecks." Check the water dish too for black flecks or small black spots.
