This Spring I got a great email from a former co worker, he and his wife were hiking around the Sandhills near Pageland, and they found this beauty! He didnt know what it was and sent these pics for me to id. The first one is the snake and him taken by his wife and the second was taken by him. He said it was quite docile and after looking at it, they let it go on its way. Little did they know they just happened upon the holy grail of snakes to see in the Sandhills! After reading other posts on here about NC pines, they do tend to be a lot darker. Pics of them are hard to find so hope you all enjoy them!
