I've seen this before and since it happened again I thought I'd share my experience.....

Situation - relatively new babies, about a week and a half old, eat a nice meal and then decide to have their first shed right after eating.

Problem - While rolling the shed down, it gets stuck on the tummy bulge.

While I'm sure with time they would resolve the problem on their own I don't like to see them stuck like that. Duh, easiest solution is to not feed near the first shed but I forgot this litter was due to shed. So, I simply use my scissors on my swiss army knife to cut through the restricting rolled up shed band.

This one was not the worst one, dunno if you can tell but the rolled up shed is part way over the tummy bulge. If you look real close on the sides and particularly underneath, you can see the body bulging out around the restricting bundle of shed.

By simply inserting one side of my scissors between the body and shed and cutting through the rolled up shed, the tension is relieved. DUH, YOU MUST BE VERY CAREFUL!!!!!

Now the baby can continue to shed without the restricting band of shed stuck on it's tummy bulge.
