Posted by: KWE at Tue Dec 29 01:35:31 2009 [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by KWE ] I'm still trying to figure out what I have, as I have posted before I have this male that has reduced dark pigment but keeps the same red/orage coloration of a regular rainbow. I did successfully breed him to one of his offspring which as she grows older her dark pigment is fading on her back half(in the pic she is in her dark look). Could this be a codominant hypomelanism with a delay? It looks like the babies are starting to show this but it's not taking a couple years like the female. Kinda confused on this, I'm waiting for the babies to shed to see how they look and I'll post some pics. Thanks. KB |
