You very well could be onto something but the bad news is if you're right it's most likely going to turn out to be fatal. I am actually taking part in a similar conversation in the garter and ribbon snake forums. A girl there had a snake die from an enlarged heart. A snake can have many differnt enlarged organs from a number of different reasons. It can be genetic, some viruses can cause an organ to become larger. When an organ becomes enlarged it can block the digestive tract. It could begin with regurge but it wont last long before the animal dies. It seems it won't allow the animal to starve because it don't keep food down but it makes stomach or intestinal contents to "rot" for lack of a better word. I am not sure if a foreign object would cause a blockage I would assume it could happen. You'd only know for sure if you took it to a vet for more invasive testing. Good luck with your cornsnake.
