But it is very tough to say with certainty if it is a "sunkissed" or a "sunglow". Sunkissed are derived from a hypo gene(type B) that isn't compatible with the much more common type "A" hypo gene. This was proven out by Bill and Kathy Love to be incompatible and different from pure Okeetee stock in the 90's. The "Sunglows" are line-bred animals that can either have hypo"A" in their lineage to reduce the amount of white(no melanin), or simply come from line-bred parents that display very little to no white in their color pattern, but have nothing to do with the hypo gene. I had an animal that was like this in the early 90's that wasn;t derived from the hypo gene too, but was well before the term "sunglow" was ever coined. | ||
