I have heard of a couple different ways. What I did was cut a small hole in one of those cups you get superworms in. The hole just big enough for the snake to crawl in through. I then put a crumpled paper towel in there for it to hide in and a thawed pinky mouse right inside on top of the paper towel. I also dragged the pinky mouse across the floor near the trap so it could more easily pick up the scent. The theory is that the snake will go inside to eat the mouse, but then the bulge will prevent the snake from getting out the tiny hole it entered.

I've never used this trap before now, so I can't say first hand if it works or not, but it is at least something to try.

Good luck finding your snake!!
