1:1 vermiculite to water seems to be too wet for hogs. Squeeze it out until the water just drips out under the pressure of your hands. If it runs out, its too wet IMO. I also put a 1" layer of perlite on top of the vermiculite. The eggs sit on this layer and don't come in direct contact with water saturated vermiculite. I second the 82 deg. incubator as well.
