Early this spring after he broke his 5 month winter fast my 07 wc Cali king actually bit me for the very first time since I got him in May 08. I had transferred him to another habitat because his old tank got broken, and the first time I went to get him out of the much bigger sterilite tub, he was a bit of a hassle to catch. Usually I can just pick him up, but a combination of being hungry and having new places to hide in put him in a snarky mood, and he bit me. He was mainly angry at getting caught by The Hand. This season he is eating without fail every time, not like the previous sporadic years. He has not bitten me again, and is back to his gentle self.
