Yeah I strated a thread just about a week ago about how hard it is to find both in some areas. I'm in central florida and None of the usual places have either. I found Perlit today at Home Depot but it has Miracle grow in it. Don't use that stuff. You can find some on Ebay if you search. Check the small mom and pop hardware stores like was mentioned but it might be wise to stock up. I've always used Vermiculite but I wanted to try Perlite just because it looks cleaner being all white. Some one said they experienced mold with Vermiculite but I never did unless the egg was bad.
