Nothing too amazing, but I think I got a good deal so I'm happy. 
A coupla months ago one of the area's Petsmarts got a Mexican black kingsnake along with several other snakes. Attractive snake, no speckling, but at $79.99 I wouldn't buy it.
Well, I went in today to get some bird food -- and they had marked down several of their snakes. They had the black king marked down to $55, so of course I couldn't resist.
They also had an "apricot" Pueblan marked down **$30** bucks, and if it had really been apricot I might have come home with it too. But it was actually just barely yellow rather than nice and orangey, so I passed!
Anyway -- I've been following the kingsnake.com classifieds for black Mexicans lately, and I think I did well price-wise (especially since I didn't have to pay shipping). And I handled the guy before buying, to make sure he isn't a spazz. Nice calm snake. I'm happy!
