RE: leftover eggs? Help!

females Florida kings are very weak after they lay. they usually don't even have the strength to eat until a couple days after.





I would have palpitated the eggs out but since she is already past that stage of her vent being dialated. i would just wait it out. feed her several mice and see if she will pass the eggs on her own.



You can always palpitate the eggs out when she gets her strength back. But is is a tedious process and unless you have experience if could just be a lot of stress on her for nothing...



..what happens is a layer of skin is keeping the eggs from coming out the vent. The tissues get swollen and wrap aroung the front of the eggs. usually with a large clucth like with what you had..



So it is best to wait until all the swelling of the tissues goes down and see if she will pass them on her won. usually in the next two weeks.



About 50% of the time, the female passes the eggs on her own.
