Not too much material on snakes, there is some on Frogs and lot on things other than herps.
I think you'll see a lot more of it with advancements in DNA technology. It fits right in with conservation genetics after all - I bet You (anyone) could even get a grant to do the research - I'd set up in Brewster county Texas and do it with Rattlesnakes both in North county and South county. South county is heavily over grazed and has permanent damage in some places, and has long been suspected as a hot spot for scut x atrox hybrids. I've also seen a few questionable animals in the healthy grasslands surrounding Marathon (North county). ----- Herp Conservation Unlimited
