They are really cool. I love their orange flames (or burn outs...don't know what to call it, they aren't really flames, but more of really neat orange fade). I'd be willing to bet that the same pairing would produce low whites.

Just my own guess, but I think the pied gene is like incomplete dominance or something where you get an animal that carries high, med or low. And depending on the mate, you get an intermediate. Maybe you have hets that both carry low. If the hets were bred to different mates, I'd bet you'd get different results. Just my guess...no data or breedings to back that up
