For example, in every ecosystem there is a carrying capacity for each species. If something happens like removal of a predator that keeps that species in check, that species population will dramatically increase. But it will increase far beyond its carrying capacity prior to crashing drastically. In other words, by the time the crash begins, it is has already been inevitable for some time. | ||
