Last night was the last straw; outdoors it got down in the teens and I had to uncover all my brumation tubs in my bedroom to let the ambient cabin air in, but that still did not really help as much as I would have liked. So this morning I put everybody back in their regular cages with the heaters off, and draped covers over the cages to make it dark. Last winter was plenty warm and I had brumation temps in the low 50's pretty consistently. The pyros could have probably done okay with low 40's but the poor bulls; I got worried about those guys. Everybody is okay, though. During the day the unheated cages may get into the low 60's. The baby pyros and a pair of young gopher snakes have localized heat because they still eat. | ||
