They can be pretty variable Bob, just like Yellows and almost anything else for that matter. Like you said, when initial taken out and handled gently without a bunch of "spooking" movements, most can be pretty decent. All my American rats have usually always been that way except for just a small percentage of them that remained extremely willing to strike at anything.

Overall though, I would have to vote the Texas rats as more "apt" to not mind drawing blood, just as monklet's, and my texas photo depicts..LOL!, but that is certainly not to say there aren't easy-going ones too, or nasty Blacks, Yellows, Grays, Glades out there.

These "moonshine morph" locale-specific "greenish" rat intergrades are absolute sweet-hearts!!. They are WAAAAY bigger now than in these old pics. They are definitely going to be of breeding size next year without a single doubt!
