I was up in Big Bear at 7000 ft a week ago and saw a lizard scamper into a manzanita bush near our cabin. This was on the side that receives more sun. The north side was covered in snow. Not bad for Dec 30 and 7000ft of altitude. It was quite warm in the sun around noon. I was in a t shirt. Last year at that time it was rather cold there and there was a blanket of fresh snow.
