Gut loading frozen feeders?

I was thinking about using a 5cc hypodermic needle to fill my thawed feeders with water and maybe even a water soluble vitamin. Do people do this? I think it would be a good way to introduce hydration into the snakes. Is this a bad idea for any reason. Thanks for any replies.
