i have a rescue bullsnake that was reportedly a male. If i open the cloacal area on either side there is a reddish dot quite laterally- and almost superficially positioned on either side of the cloaca. I assume these are scent glands not hemipene pockets as they are lateral and superficial.

I probed the way i do in boids and the animal seems to probe female?

do bulls have in males and females these reddish lateral cloacal pores?
