My opinion is that tendonectomies are only slightly better than declawing. I know it's supposed to be less traumatic for the cat, but you have to really keep up with the claw trimming or the poor cat will be in for trouble. Personally I would never declaw or do a tendonectomy or anything else to the cats claws except trim them. I just don't care about material things that much. Only for a medical necessity would I do either of those procedures. But like I said..that's just ME.
