If you do catch him scratching on furniture, I'd redirect him to a scratcher toy you have out for him before I'd spray with water so he knows what to do. Take him from the furniture over to the toy and rub his paws on it. Put catnip on it and he'll probably find it naturally. My boys are declawed and they rub their paws on it all the time anyway. ----- Tammy
