I agree -- no worries. My two cats and I lived in an apartment and then (now) in a condo for many years. While yours may be very small, love and attention will go a long way the next year or so until you get a bigger place, if you get a bigger place. Cat's don't need constant exercise. They sleep a lot. Just give them play sessions and you'll be fine. Many, many of us have cats happily for years in apartments/condos.
