PURRS AND WHISKER LOVING!!!

Thanks to everyone who said a prayer for Milagro. What looked like congestive heart failure wasn't! The vet tried to look into his trachea and states that is where Milagros breathing problem is, not his heart or lungs, even though his heart is not in the right sport (a matter of opinion!) it is working properly and his lungs and chest are clear and he is a very healthy boy except for his trachea problem. He will need to have the procdure tried again once he gains 3 pounds, but the vet took xrays and compared them to the ones taken 2 weeks ago and his stermun is now straightening out. It was hooked inward so the vet now believes his brething noises are not affecting him that much and his lungs are workign fine so it's possibly an obstruction or abnormality in his trachea. He is eating on his own, purrs and is getting much more active (help!) so we are keeping our fingers crossed that he will either outgrow the problem or at least be able to have it corrected when he gains some weight. I now feel much better about playing with him and being able to let go when he goes to his "forever home". I just didn't want to lose him because of problems associated with him being the runt. I do get attached, but with 5 of my own I know I can let go more easily if he's well.

I will eep you posted on his progress.
