in the early morning hours of March 1, 2008. Sonny, you were only 10-1/2 months old! Through my hysteria and tears I tried to think clearly and quickly to get you the help you needed. I rushed you to the emergency vet clinic and you were fading so fast! They rushed you into a back room and then came the worst news I could ever hear. They told me that they'd been trying to resuscitate you for 15 minutes, and that your little heart just wasn't beating anymore. They asked me if they should continue to try and bring you back to me, but I told them to let you go. When the vet went back, Sonny, you were already gone.



Sonny, in the short time we shared together, I loved you with the very essence of my soul. I'm still in shock and the tears that I cry won't stop for a very long time to come. I still hear you calling me and I miss you sweet, talkative boy!



Rest in Peace my Sonny-Sonny. I promise we'll see each other again someday, and it will make all the pain I feel in my heart for you so worthwhile just to hear you call me "Mau Mau" again.
