Hello and Happy New Year to all!!

I am the cat mommy of a 6 month old Blue Point Siamese named Beau Hugs.

Though he enjoys to eat he is an EXTREMELY picky eater and he is driving us crazy. I remember telling my friends when their children were not eating all of their food that no child in the modern world has died of starvation but I failed to see the anguish that is being caused by your beloved child (or pet in my case) not eating!!

Yes he is healthy and active and will under no circumstances die of starvation but what about the whole cans of cat food I am throwing away because he won't touch it?

At first I got him his "favorite" and picking that out was easy. He only goes for the tiny, expensive gourmet food cans. But my problem is that if one day he will eat this specific flavor and brand, chances are the next day he won't even touch it!!!

Who the heck said that cats do not like to change their dietary preferrences? Mine does!! He wants something new every day and I am running out of options.

I even tried cooking for him (some rice and minced meat the vet said) but he won't even eat human food! (Except cheese!)

While he is not fed he will cry and cry and cry and annoy the heck out of everyone, especially my husband who will end up beating him. The poor soul is only hungry.

And forget about the old trick of "letting him go hungry and then he will eat anything". Not Beau!! There is a greater chance of Hell freezing over than Beau eating something he does not want to eat!!

What do I do?? I have tried every brand in the market and I still can't get a pattern!! I am going insane not to mention broke! I end up spending more than $120 a month only to feed one kitty!!

HELP!!! Any advice is welcome!!

Thanks

Tina
