I did what MA just told you when I moved from WA state to Maine. Have litter avaible let your kit out to go pottty during stops. When you get into the hotel room. Make sure the door closes tightly behind you. I almost lost Crash that way. I didn't realize when I went to take Mya the dog out that she slipped out behind us. Lucky for me she had a harness on and nice people saw her and didn't let her outside of the hotel. Before you get out of your car for potty breaks make sure to attach a leash to the cats incase they jump out. It makes cacthing them easier.
