Cats are more in tune with their territory rather than their humans and will often bolt or try to run away from a new home. Your best bet is to try to isolate her in one room for about a week to help her get used to her new space, and to minimize the danger of her escaping if a door is left open!



She should be pretty well used to her new digs in a week, but still be careful for a few months!
