Unfortunately, Tiggy has learned that she will get petted if she wakes you up. It's going to take quite some time to "unlearn" this behavior.



Since you seem to have a basement, you will probably need to give her a time-out in there when she wakes you up. Hopefully you won't hear her meowing. If you can't isolate her in the basement, then you are going to have to enclose her in a small room or even a carrier and endure her cries.
