I am surprised that no vets have ever heard of this behavior since it is quite common in neutered males. Unfortunately it does bring some pleasure and thus almost impossible to break.

Have you gone to a feline only vet? I am a bit worried that he is licking at his erect penis - makes me wonder if there is some irritation there. The frequence is bothersome too. You might discuss the possibility of some antianxiety meds - they may slow or stop this, if there is no underlying medical cause.

>>I got a male kitten when he was 3 months. I castrated him when he was 6 months. At the age of 1/1.5y.o, he started to have a very weired sexual behavior. He takes small pillows, teddy bears, clothes... moves them over a distance to somewhere on the floor, and behaves sexually with them (4 legged above the object, purring very strongly, back carved upwards, penis in errection and in contact with the object). This lasts for a few minutes and then he starts licking his genitals still errect. Some days he might repeat that over a dozen times which is very bothering (remember he is castrated!).

>>

>>I took him to the vet who was convinced it was a urine infection but it was not. I then gave him a homeopathic medicine that calms sexual needs but this had no effect. Feliway didn't have any effect either. No vets or cat breeders seem to have heard about such a behavior.

>>

>>I am very discouraged by this bothering behavior. Would anyone have the slightest clue what it could be?

Smile, it will make them wonder what you are up to!
