Well, sometimes it seems like, what isn't wrong with Helena's tail. First of all, there's the spot right up near her body where it hangs funny, due to a break. That area used to be very tender, but not so much now, it just affects the way she carries it, and a litte bit, the way she sits. Recently, though we've come to realize due to constantly running our fingers down it to check on the injury, that several of her tail joints are fused together, and that it is very unpleasant for her to have a hand slide down the length of her tail, so to have it brushed or lifted for grooming of her back legs. At first we thought that the tail pain was all due to the injury, but now that it is healed we realized there is more to it, and you can feel the difference in her tail versus the other guys' tails. It also feels thin and puny beneith the fur and is to short. We figure that it might be due to the inbreedng.-- Jennifer

In most cases [Harlan] Ellison goes around the pit, jumps over it...or jumps right into it, on purpose, avoiding major injury either by his own talent, the grace of god, or a combination of the two.
