Last Thursday, I gave my 6 year old male cat to my cousin. He'd been picking serious fights with my elderly female cat and since he is twice her size, it was causing her stress.



My cousin and her young daughter are animal lovers and were excited to have him, so I knew it would be a good home.



After a night spent under the bed, he came out and seemed to adapt socially. He's playing with her daughter, rubbing up against their legs, watching TV with them at night and sleeping with them. Overall he seems to be adjusting well....EXCEPT...



She just informed me yesterday that he hasn't eaten a bite since I dropped him off. That means it's been a week today. She's tried soft food and tuna and he turns up his nose at it all. (And he is being offered the same food he eats here.) He has been drinking, however.



There was stool in the litterbox until today. She says he doesn't act like a cat who is starving. At our house he ate a lot and is quite overweight.



I think I'm going to have to go get him tomorrow and bring him home. I would really like to leave him there because I really believe he'll be happier in the long run being the only cat and getting so much attention, but I can't let him starve to death!



Any suggestions would be wonderful!
