A 6 week old kitten should be able to survive without it's Mother. It will miss some training and social skills but should be able to eat food on it's own. The blood could be irritation from the stools but it could many other things. Do you know what the mother cat died of?? Take the kitten to the Vet as soon as you can and let us know how it is doing.
