That is one of my biggest snob acts too! If you are buying something and paying by check get it together. When I wrote checks for groceries I was always ready! And BTW, don't you just HATE the people who enter the check in the register and balance their accounts while you are waiting?

The other day it took a woman twelve minutes to find her checkbook, write the check, find her ID,and get her bill paid. I'm not kidding!! I timed it. The next checker took care of six customers while this was going on!
