Most of the time, if riding with a friend, I prefer to do the driving.

If DH and I are going somewhere, it's fine if he drives so I can do something more interesting (nap, read, etc.)

But, even then, if we're in a hurry, I try to get behind the wheel since I drive faster. If it's a long trip, we usually switch at every stop.
