W/d is a weight reduction diet; if you think he is losing too much weight, this is not what you want him on. Try feeding both cats the same food, as they are going to get it anyway. Having a mildly elevated amylase without any clinical signs is no cause for alarm. Both cats can get the same canned food, and don't feed any dry food.
